The entrepreneurs that have taken start-up loan lending past the £15m milestone are Corin and Lesley Jeavon, founders of vegan toffee brand, Jeavon’s Toffee.
Recognised as the only vegan and dairy-free toffee manufacturer world-wide, Corin and Lesley are creators of toffee that is just as enjoyable as dairy-based treats – yet guilt-free. Soft, creamy and seriously addictive, the pair are always experimenting with fresh, all-natural ingredients, leaving no stone unturned in creating the perfect recipe for toffee lovers to enjoy, proving popular amongst chocolate fans and the vegan community alike.
The idea was born through co-founder and ex-Fashion Photographer, Corin Jeavon’s ambition to create the perfect dairy-free toffee, following his teenage days where he would spend his spare time engrossed in the family recipe books.
“Our mission is to provide toffee-based treats that are at least as good as the dairy based sweets that we used to love.”
There’s nothing raw here, and no dates come near our toffee. Toffee requires caramelised sugars, and that’s a tradition we stick to.”
The husband and wife team began trading early 2018 and have used the Start-Up Loan to support the launch of the world’s first vegan toffee factory, ‘Toffee Towers’, coming soon to Newhaven.
Lesley commented, “Let’s Do Business Finance has been so helpful and has had a huge impact on the growth of our business. Since the loan, we have been able to make a start on building our very own vegan toffee factory – a dream we’ve had for a long time which is finally starting to become a reality.”
